Exeter College made history in becoming the very first Further Education College to Win the Daily Mail National Schools Cup in 2005, breaking the Public School Dominance in the competition. It has since gone onto win the RFU AASE League, breaking the dominance of Hartpury College. This winning side included the likes of Rusi Tuima, Richard Capstick and Marcus Street who went onto play for England.　A high number of alumni students have gone on to play for the Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership, including 17 members of the current squad.
